Our big production for Christmas time this year is a version of the classic story written in 1888. THE HAPPY PRINCE by OSCAR WILDE
The Happy Prince is a theatrical adaptation of the classic Oscar Wilde children’s story by Caroline Dooley.
Whilst the Wilde original is charming and accessible in its depiction of the friendship between a statue of a prince and a swallow, it packs no punches in terms of its critique of an unjust society and our responsibilities to the poor and its emotional power . It asks us to consider what we can do to make the lives of other people better -making it an ideal choice for a YATI Christmas production.
